The University Rules Examination will be held approximately two weeks after the semester begins. Before the exam, students are required to self-study three official university documents:Regulations on Examination Discipline of Shanghai Jiao Tong University (Document No. 〔2019〕28), Regulations on Student Disciplinary Sanctions of Shanghai Jiao Tong University (Revised 2025, Document No. 〔2025〕55), Regulations on Postgraduate Training and Administration of Shanghai Jiao Tong University (Document No. 〔2023〕79)

1. Each student is granted 3 attempts for the examination. The exam duration for each attempt is 120 minutes. Once the timer starts, one attempt will be consumed. Students who fail all three attempts will be reported for targeted education and a supplementary exam at a later date.
2. In accordance with university regulations, students who fail the University Rules Examination are not eligible for scholarships, awards and honourable evaluations.
3. Both Chinese and English examination modes are available. If you wish to complete the exam in English, please switch to the English interface in the JiaoWoBan platform.
