All Fall 2026 TDLI degree students must complete on-site registration at SJTU Minhang Campus on the officially designated registration date.

Students should plan their travel carefully and make sure they do not miss on-site registration. If you are unable to register on time due to exceptional circumstances, you must apply for formal approval in advance. Please see Late Arrival Request for details.

Students entering China with an X1 visa should also avoid arriving excessively early. An X1 visa normally permits a stay of only 30 days after entry. You must ensure that your visa is still valid on the registration date and leave sufficient time after registration to complete the physical examination and apply for a study residence permit.

We recommend arriving in Shanghai shortly before the registration date, allowing enough time to:

• check into your confirmed accommodation;
• complete temporary residence registration;
• obtain and activate a Chinese mobile number;
• arrange the physical examination；
• prepare the original documents required for registration; and
• settle in before attending on-site registration.

Keep your passport, Admission Notice, JW/DQ Form, academic documents and other essential materials in your hand luggage.
