3.2.2 TDLI-coordinated Rental Options

Some rental options near TDLI require advance coordination through the Institute. These currently include:

  • NES | YOKYOK Online / 纳仕张江在线右里(Lane 555, Shengrong Road, Zhangjiang Town, Pudong New Area, Shanghai/上海市浦东新区张江镇盛荣路555弄); and
  • NES | Zhangjiang Community Z Area / 纳仕张江社区右里Z区 (Lane 122, Maochun Road, Pudong New Area, Shanghai 茂春路122弄).

 

Availability is limited and subject to approval. Submission of an application does not guarantee a room.

 

Application requirements

Applying for NES normally requires:

  • a Chinese mobile phone number;
  • identity verification through the Suishenban app;
  • a completed accommodation application form; and
  • advance coordination with TDLI.

 

Students are encouraged to obtain a Chinese mobile number and complete Suishenban identity verification before arrival, where possible. A newly activated Chinese SIM card may require one or two days before it can be used for Suishenban registration.

  2. Contact Xiaoqian Jin (jin_xq@sjtu.edu.cn) at least THREE working days before the intended move‑in date.
  3. Wait for the residence staff to contact you.
  4. Complete the lease‑signing process through Suishenban.

 

Estimated cost

  • One‑bedroom apartment: approximately RMB 4,000–5,000 per month
  • Minimum lease period: one month
  • Advance payment: normally three months' rent
  • Security deposit: normally one month's rent

 

Students should notify the residence approximately one month before moving out.

 

Current rent, deposit, payment schedule, minimum lease period and move‑out requirements should be confirmed before signing the lease.
