Students entering China with an X1 visa must apply for a Study Residence Permit within 30 days of arrival.
As the medical examination report is required for the residence permit application and normally takes four working days to be issued, students are strongly advised to make an online appointment before arriving in China.
Please ensure that your planned arrival date allows sufficient time to complete:
- university registration;
- the medical examination;
- receipt of the medical report; and
- the residence permit application within the 30-day validity period of the X1 visa.
