Mass parametric resonance during QCD phase transition generates substantial fraction of dark matter axions

星期四 2025-10-09 11:00 - 12:00 Dr. Qiaoli Yang(杨峤立), Jinan University Tsung-Dao Lee Institute/N6F-N600 - Lecture Room

Abstract:

Scalar perturbations induce temperature fluctuations during QCD phase transition era. These fluctuations modulate the axion mass, transferring energy into the field through parametric mass resonance, a nonlinear process. This mechanism exhibits substantially unstable regions that could lead to explosive particle productions. Additionally, it does not generate  isocurvature perturbations.
