
The Jiaotong University Spectroscopic Telescope (JUST) is designedwith a diameter of 4.4 meters. With its lightweight design, JUST telescopeoffers a multitude of advantages, including the large aperture, swift responsetime, and exceptional light-gathering capabilities. Once completed, the JUSTtelescope will be the best general-purpose spectroscopic telescope in China andis expected to achieve a series of research breakthroughs with significantimpact in pivotal fields such as dark matter, dark energy, time-domainastronomy, and exoplanet exploration. The construction of the JUST Telescopewill take place at the Lenghu in Qinghai Province. The exceptional observingconditions at this site are comparable to the best observatories in the world,as highlighted in the publication by Deng et al. (Nature, 596, 353, 2021).

The TRopIcal DEep-sea Neutrino Telescope, TRIDENT for short, is an envisionedneutrino observatory at South China Sea, which aims to discover multiplehigh-energy astrophysical neutrino sources and provide a significant boost tothe measurement of cosmic neutrino events of all flavors. The telescope willhave an uneven configuration with more than 1,000 strings and 20,000 hybriddigital optical modules covering a volume of about 8 cubic-kilometer. Theoptical properties of the sea water and marine environment at the selected sitewere characterized by the TRIDENT pathfinder experiment in September, 2021.Currently, the prototype line for TRIDENT is under development. https://trident.sjtu.edu.cn/
