Tuition Waiver: Annual tuition fee (RMB 45,500) is waived for TDLI scholarship recipients.

4.1 Scholarship Types

4.2 Eligibility Requirements

  • Applicants must meet SJTU’s standard eligibility for international graduate programs.
  • Applicants must not hold conflicting scholarships.
  • Doctoral applicants: generally under 40 years old.
  • Master’s applicants: generally under 35 years old.

4.3 Application Deadlines

4.4 Application Channels

Apply through SJTU (Type B)

  • Apply via http://apply.sjtu.edu.cn/ and select “Apply for Scholarship through SJTU (Type B).”
  • SJTU Agency Code: 10248.
  • If not recommended for CGS, applicants are automatically considered for SGS, SJTU, and School/College scholarships.

Apply through Chinese Embassies/Consulates (Type A)

  • Application period varies by country (typically November–April).
  • Applicants must also complete the SJTU online application.
  • Embassy directory: Ministry of Foreign Affairs website.

4.5 Scholarship Results

Results are released via the Study@SJTU system. No separate written notices are issued.

4.6 Important Notes

  • Scholarship duration generally cannot be extended; annual review required.
  • Allocation of CGS/SGS may adjust according to policy updates.
  • SJTU and School/College Scholarships may cover full or partial tuition.
  • Students may choose on-campus or off-campus housing; subsidies depend on scholarship type.
