To all our valued friends and supporters of Tsung-Dao Lee Institute,

2025 marked the first year of the second five-year phase in the implementation of Tsung-Dao Lee Institute’s (TDLI) 2035 Development Plan. With strong support from national ministries, the Shanghai Municipal Government, and Shanghai Jiao Tong University (SJTU), and under the leadership of Director Jie Zhang, TDLI remained focused on fundamental scientific questions and continued to leverage the strengths of the large-scale science paradigm. During the year, the Institute achieved systematic progress in platform and facility construction, organized research, talent recruitment and development, graduate education, international cooperation, and institutional support.

Reflecting on 2025, TDLI has moved forward with determination and momentum, translating Professor Tsung-Dao Lee’s expectations for into sustained action, guided by the spirit of making the impossible possible.

Looking ahead to 2026, TDLI will continue to pursue the unknown with the exploratory spirit of Tianwen (Quest for Infinity), further consolidate the foundations for sustainable development, and expand its global engagement, striving for new achievements in celebration of the tenth anniversary of its founding.

The 2025 Annual Report of Tsung-Dao Lee Institute is now officially released. It provides a detailed record of the Institute’s achievements and progress over the past year.
