The American Physical Society (APS) announced its 2020 APS Fellow Archive in September. Prof. Jinfeng Jia and Prof. Dao Xiang, Professors of School of Physics and Astronomy and Adjunct Fellows of TDLI are in the list.
Prof. Jinfeng Jia was elected for his significant contributions to the growth and characterization of epitaxial thin films and the demonstration of proximity induced topological superconductivity and observation of signatures of Majorana fermions.
Prof. Jinfeng Jia joined the School of Physics and Astronomy, SJTU in 2009. He worked as a Distinguished Professor from 2009 to 2015 and has been working as an SJTU Chair Professor since 2015. He has been working as the Deputy Division Head and Adjunct Fellow of Quantum Division in TDLI since 2017.
Prof. Dao Xiang was elected for pioneering theoretical and experimental work in developing advanced beam manipulation techniques for free-electron lasers, and MeV ultrafast electron diffraction.
Prof. Dao Xiang joined the School of Physics and Astronomy, SJTU in 2014. He has been working as a Distinguished Professor since 2019. He joined TDLI as an Adjunct Fellow in 2017.
