Position Description

Tsung-Dao Lee Institute at Shanghai Jiao Tong University (SJTU) is seeking a highly motivated and talented candidate for a joint postdoctoral position. The successful applicant will work with Prof. Qingdong Jiang and Prof. Qian Niu (as an adjunct professor from USTC) on a diverse range of topics in condensed matter theory, including many-body quantum geometry, altermagnetism, cavity quantum science, quantum non-equilibrium processes, and Casimir physics.  Tsung-Dao Lee Institute (TDLI: http://tdli.sjtu.edu.cn/EN/ ) has an international environment with English as its working language and aims to become a leading research institute in physics and astronomy.

Terms of employment

The position is for a full-time employment for a minimum of two years and a maximum of three years, with the possibility of extension under special circumstances. Start date is as per agreement. TDLI offers a competitive annual salary of up to 312,000 CNY including housing subsidies. Additional benefits are possible according to the performance of the applicant. Applicants who are also selected for the SJTU Siyuan Postdoctoral Fellowship will get 450,000 CNY annual salary, plus a 30,000 CNY settlement allowance.
