Wu Dan, a professor at Shanghai Jiao Tong University, concurrently holds positions as the Vice President of the China Emergency Management Association and the Deputy Director of the Shanghai Environmental Science Association. Graduating with a degree in Analytical Chemistry from the Department of Chemistry at Xiamen University, primarily focusing on analytical chemistry, environmental and sustainable development, and higher education management.

His professional journey encompasses a spectrum of key roles, including Deputy Secretary-General of the School Student Work Guidance Committee, Department Head of Electrical Engineering, Department Head of Applied Chemistry, Head of the School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering, Dean of the School of Environmental Science and Engineering, Director of the School Personnel Office, Standing Committee Member of SJTU Committee, Vice Principal, and Full-time Deputy Director of the School Affairs Committee.

Wu Dan's contributions have earned him awards, such as the second prize for National Excellent Teaching Achievements, first, second, and third prizes for Shanghai Excellent Teaching Achievements, and the second prize for Shanghai Decision-making Consultation Achievements. Significantly, he stands as the founder and leader of the first Shanghai Quality Course titled Undergraduate Chemistry.
