The Tsung-Dao Lee Institute (TDLI), founded in November 2016 with Nobel Laureates Prof. Tsung Dao Lee as the Honorary Director and Prof. Frank Wilczek as the Founding Director, is a leading research institute focusing on high-energy physics, astrophysics, and quantum physics. Currently directed by Prof. Jie Zhang, TDLI aims to foster world-class research in physics and astronomy.
We are delighted to announce the 2025 TDLI Winter School, a three-day program designed for undergraduate students passionate about astrophysics and astronomy. The event will be held from January 17th to January 19th, 2025 at the Tsung-Dao Lee Institute, Shanghai Jiao Tong University.
Objectives
The winter school aims to:
- Train Chinese undergraduate students for future research in astrophysics and astronomy.
- Introduce TDLI's cutting-edge research to potential PhD candidates.
- Equip participants with essential tools and hands-on experience in scientific research.
Program Highlights
- Lectures: Delivered by TDLI faculty members, showcasing advanced research topics.
- Activities: Interactive sessions to explore practical applications of research tools and concepts.
- Presentations: Participants will share their insights and learnings during the camp.

- Language: The program will primarily be conducted in English.
- Eligibility: Open to 3rd-year undergraduate students.
- Costs: TDLI will cover local accommodation and meals for all selected participants.
